Turkish Academy of Sciences Studies AI Impact Across Key Sectors
According to reports, TUBA President and medical professor Muzaffer Seker said the academy’s specialized working groups continuously track scientific and technological developments worldwide. These teams analyze areas where Türkiye may need further advancement and formulate recommendations tailored to their fields of expertise.
As part of these efforts, TUBA’s information technologies and artificial intelligence working group is exploring ways to maximize the benefits of AI across strategic sectors while also identifying the policy measures necessary to enhance Türkiye’s competitiveness in the fast-evolving technology landscape.
According to reports, the group plans to discuss future strategies through a series of workshops and related events in the coming days. The conclusions and recommendations produced through these activities will later be submitted to policymakers for consideration.
The resulting findings are also expected to contribute to the academy’s advisory role for government institutions and other organizations, helping guide initiatives aimed at expanding Türkiye’s technological research capabilities and developing a highly skilled workforce in information technologies.
Seker said TUBA regularly brings together leading scientists from Türkiye and abroad, particularly its own members, to assess emerging issues and prepare reports through online meetings and consultations.
According to reports, these collaborative efforts are designed to provide scientific guidance on rapidly developing topics and support informed decision-making in areas where technological innovation is increasingly shaping society and the economy.
