IRGC Endorses Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s Supreme Leader
In an official declaration, the IRGC extended congratulations to Khamenei on his selection, which comes after the passing of his father, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who died on Feb. 28 during joint US-Israeli airstrikes in Tehran. Ali Khamenei had steered Iran for nearly forty years.
The IRGC emphasized its respect for the Assembly of Experts’ decision and affirmed unwavering allegiance to the newly appointed leader, promising to execute his commands and safeguard the Islamic Republic.
Mojtaba Khamenei was characterized by the IRGC as a proficient cleric capable of navigating the nation through intricate political and regional difficulties.
Additionally, the IRGC called on Iranian citizens to back the leadership and protect the Islamic Republic.
